GV Art presents the largest UK exhibition of acclaimed Mallorcan artist – Albert Binimelis. Lines of coloured birds balance precariously on wires, an array of butterflies seems to hover above the canvas, a dissected house reveals a New Year’s Eve party, Binemelis’s vibrant large-scale, canvases combine bold forms with a fascinating use of texture. Utterly distinctive, the work has a sculptural quality as form is built up in layers using latex, acrylics, fabric and marble dust to create a heavily textured surface.
